We have partnered with Upparel to recycle textiles that might otherwise go into landfill,

giving it new life and reducing carbon emissions. The textiles we recycle are turned into a cushion-like fibre material which is then used to create home insulation, filling for furniture, mattresses and more!

In 2022 we recycled 465kg of textiles, from old Reef Magic uniforms from Cairns, old Skydive Uniforms that were stored in Byron Bay, and old Skydive parachutes from Noosa! Let’s see if we can double the amount of textiles recycled in2023!

So what can be recycled? Pretty much every textile – old uniforms, old parachutes – anything that is a fabric! If you’re not sure if it can be recycled, fill out the form below anyway and we will be in touch. To start recycling simply fill out the form on the Recycling page, which can be found on the Staff Intranet under Policies and Procedures → Forms and Guides → Textile Recycling Form.
