Introducing Wild Bush Luxury & The Maria Island Walk
Following a challenging year for our industry, we are excited to bring you some positive news concerning our organisation. Experience Co is excited to announce the acquisition of two well-known Australian tourism companies, Wild Bush Luxury โ which operates premium walks from Arkaba Homestead in the stunning Flinders Ranges in SA, and wildlife and fishing safaris from Bamurru Plains Safari Lodge on the Mary River Wetlands in the Northern Territory; and The Maria Island Walk โ a stunning multi-day walk in Tasmania.
In the last 12 months, we have focused on streamlining our business as we managed through COVID, re-opening all our operations and building our business base again. Now, we are ready to start looking at expansion.
These acquisitions will extend our current portfolio into the premium adventure segment of the market which we believe will provide strong growth opportunities both from Australian travellers and also international visitors when the borders eventually re-open.
Both companies also have a strong conservation focus which builds on the opportunity to connect our guests with the natural environment as we are currently doing with our team on the Great Barrier Reef.
The businesses will come under the Wild Bush Luxury brand and Charlie Carlow will stay on to manage that business. Ian Johnstone, who runs The Maria Island Walk has chosen to take a step back and enjoy some well-deserved time off.
This acquisition also allows us to extend our companyโs geographic reach into SA, NT and Tasmania and grow our customer base into the 50 plus age group giving us some terrific opportunities for the future.
