We’re excited to announce that we’ve been selected as the preferred operator of two new tourism experiences in the NSW Gardens of Stone State Conservation Area.

The Gardens of Stone Conservation Area (Wiradjuri Country) expands 28,322-hectares and links Wollemi and the Blue Mountains National Park near Lithgow. It features Aboriginal cultural sites, sandstone cliffs, highland swamps, and ancient rock pagodas.

The Hon. Paul Toole MP, Deputy Premier NSW noted “The area expects to attract up to 200,000 new visitors, create around 190 local jobs and generate up to $30 million in regional economic activity each year.

Experience Co proposes to develop two attractions for visitors to discover the region:

The Lost City Adventure Experience

A fully-guided three-hour journey including dual zip-line, via ferrata tour and 40-meter suspension bridges over the spectacular Lost City gorge. This will be run by Experience Co’s TreeTops Adventure, and is expected to open in late 2023.

The Gardens of Stone Multi-Day Walk

A four-day, small group, guided walking tour emphasizing the natural, cultural and geological values of the State Conservation Area. The walk will include overnight stays in minimal impact bush camps. Run by Experience Co’s Wild Bush Luxury, it is expected to open in 2025.

We’re excited to bring both of these new experiences to the Greater Blue Mountains region.
